• Proper Charging: Limit the charging time to around 8 to 10 hours. Avoid overcharging, which can damage battery cells and lead to water depletion. Charge the battery until it reaches full capacity, and avoid leaving the golf cart charging continuously when not in use.

• Avoid Complete Discharge: Prevent the batteries from fully depleting. Aim to keep them at least halfway charged, with a minimum charge level of 20%. Follow the charging recommendations provided by the battery manufacturer to extend battery life.

• Store in Warm Environments: With the exception of gel batteries, most golf cart batteries are not suitable for cold weather. Cold temperatures can drain the battery. Store the carts in a warm garage or storage area, and avoid driving them in extreme cold. During colder months, consider using a trickle charger to maintain battery charge without overcharging.

2. Cycle Life: Lithium-ion batteries generally have a longer cycle life compared to lead-acid batteries. A cycle is one full discharge and recharge cycle of a battery. Lithium-ion batteries can typically handle several thousand cycles, while lead-acid batteries usually have a lower cycle life. This means that lithium-ion batteries can be recharged and discharged more times before their capacity significantly decreases.
